🧑🏻: Where are you going?!
👩🏻 (me): To the living room to watch TV with my cushion...
#QuarantinePillowChallenge, i’m in! With no makeup and just a tinted lip balm, I wanted to share my #FlawStory as well.
.
I’ve always had very bad skin growing up. It was full-on cystic acne and I had a hard time trying to get rid of them, even until now. No acne medication (Oratane/Acutane) saved me because once I stopped, my acne came back with a vengeance. (Urging those who’re on acne meds to not rely on them because once you start, chances are you’ll never be able to stop and those damage your organs in the long run.) Now, even though my skin has improved, I’m constantly battling large pores and hormonal acne with its implications - pigmentation. Even though I know it’s impossible for me to achieve good perfect skin like many others, I’m still happy that my skin has come a long way looking much better than before. Couldn’t find a picture of my skin at its worst but managed to find a 2015 one while I was on a facial. Swipe to see my 2015 & current (2020) skin condition and you’ll know what I mean.

Since we’re all on a #stayathomechallenge, sharing my story here to encourage you to embrace your flaws and love yourself! Spend time to take care of your skin, your body and your mental wellbeing too. Together, we can get through this! 🙆🏻♀️ #clozette
